The Best of Pinterest // Holiday Favourites

Hey all,

yes, it's me! I've finally resurfaced from the underneath a pile of studying and assignments. Tonight I wanted to do something a little different (let's face it, I say that at the beginning of every post) and give you a little boost this Christmas season. Have you ever spent hours looking through boards of Pinterest, trying to find a cute recipe, craft, or decoration? I know I have. So this Christmas I thought I'd give you a head start by compiling some of my favourite holiday posts from Pinterest so far. Go ahead and take a gander!

These cookies are just so adorable. Put your own twist on them and give them out for a cookie swap, as a homemade gift, or at a holiday party! How cute!

My Day in Photos

Hey everyone,

welcome back! Today I thought I would do something I have seen on a lot of blogs, which is the "Day in Photos" tag. From the time I woke up until now (3:30) I have taken a photo at each hour to document what I have done! I would continue all day, but I know I will just be writing papers and watching TV, rather boring! So without further adieu, here is my day in photos!

At 8:30, I arose from my slumber and hopped into a shower.

At 9:30 I was at Tim Horton's waiting in the drive-thru line.

By 10:30 I was at church, helping run the sound system for this week.

After church, at 11:30, my friend and I went for a country drive to enjoy the nice autumn weather and colours. I thought this abandoned baseball diamond looked pretty neat!

At 12:30, I came home to Thanksgiving dinner on the stove and in the oven.

While I was waiting for dinner to be ready, around 1:30 I was getting caught up on my YouTube subscriptions.

At 2:30, dinner was served!

Finally at 3:30, I reorganized my dresser and settled in for some homework and Hawaii Five-O watching.

So there you have it! That's pretty much my day, all summed up in an aesthetically pleasing manner. I want to challenge you all to do this post yourself, and leave a link to your blog in the comments below so I can see!

Until next time,
Liv <3
PS: A big Happy Thanksgiving again to my Canadian readers! I hope you've all had a great day with family/friends wherever you may be :)

Get In My Belly

Hello there!
Today I thought I would change things up a bit by sharing a recipe!

One of my favourite things to make for a party is nachos. But usually, the recipe for nachos is pretty straightforward. Today I wanted to share a recipe that I've been using recently that is a yummy alternative! Here are the ingredients you'll need:

- 1 bag of nacho chips (Tostitos are my favourite)
- 1 lb. of ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 bag of shredded cheese
- 1 bottle of french dressing

You won't be using the entirety of these ingredients, but you can't exactly buy half a bottle of dressing now can you?

The first thing to do is preheat your oven to 'broil'. If you don't have this preset on your oven, set it to 550°F.

The next thing to do is fry up your hamburger on the stove. Once it starts to break up more easily, you can add in your taco seasoning and make sure it's well mixed in. You can use as much of the packet as you see fit.

Spread an even layer of nacho chips on a pan. You don't want too many in a pile, as the toppings won't reach the bottom that way. Now, here is where the twist comes in.

Drizzle your french dressing on the nachos as you would with barbecue sauce on typical nachos. Make sure you don't get any huge globs as this will make the nachos soggy.

Spread your cooked hamburger and shredded cheese over the chips, and pop it in the oven for a couple of minutes, just long enough to melt the cheese. Take them out and let them cool for about five minutes, and voila! You have a lovely, delicious treat ready for your consumption.

Hope you enjoy the recipe, I actually really enjoyed the process of making this blog post!
In the comments, let me know what your favourite party recipe is.

Until next time!
